Privacy notice
People often contact me at a vulnerable moment. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to the information you share through this website.

Who is responsible
Matías Tuxen, psychologist, based in Thailand. Email: matias@matiastuxen.com. I am responsible for your personal data under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). If you live in the EU, the GDPR may also apply to how I handle your data.
What I collect
When you use the contact form: your name, email address, what you are interested in and your message. When you email me directly: whatever you choose to include. When you book a call through the booking link: the details you enter in Google's booking page. You are welcome to use a nickname.
Sensitive information
Information about your health, including mental health, is sensitive data under the PDPA. Please don't send it through the form or by email. If we decide to work together, we will talk about what is relevant in a session, and I will ask for your explicit consent before recording anything of that kind.
Why I use it
Only to reply to your message and, if you want, to arrange a first conversation, workshop or collaboration. I don't use it for newsletters or marketing emails.
Where it is kept and for how long
Form messages are stored on the website's server and delivered to my email inbox; both are provided by Hostinger. Bookings are handled by Google Calendar. I keep enquiries only as long as I need them to reply and follow up, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Who else sees it
No one but me reads your messages. The hosting, email and booking providers process the data technically on my behalf. I never sell your information.
Cookies and statistics
This website uses AnalyticsWP, a statistics tool that runs on the website's own server, to see which pages are visited. It also uses the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies and shares information about your visit with Meta Platforms so I can understand how people find the site through Facebook and Instagram.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how I use it. Just email me. If you are unhappy with how I handled your data, you can complain to Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee, or to the data protection authority in your own country if you live in the EU.
